KINGS PARK , N.Y.—The LONG ISLAND ROYALS  are proud to announce the selection of five former Royals in the 2016 USHL draft on May 3rd. The UNITED STATES HOCKEY LEAGUE is the only Tier 1 Junior League in th country. Three of these players played for Coach Jack’s 2000 team that won the PW MAJOR NYSAHA and AYHL title in 2013.

KINGS PARK, N.Y. - The Long Island Royals are proud to announce the commitment of defenseman Conner Hutchison to the University of Vermont for the fall of 2019. The Catamounts compete in the ultra-competitive Hockey East Conference, which sent six of its twelve teams to the 2016 NCAA tournament.  

Hutchison completed his second season with the Selects Academy at South Kent School 16-and-under team and posted back-to-back twenty-point seasons in league play. He is an exceptional playmaker, as evidenced by his 18 assists in 26 USPHL games this past season, along with 23 in 2014-15. He also chipped in a goal and two assists in the 2016 Tournament of Champions.

Prior to heading to South Kent “Hutch” played 3 seasons for the ‘00 LI Royals team that won multiple NY State and AY titles.

 The Hicksville, NY, native is the second Hockey East commitment for the Royals this season.
